Rock Family Plaque

My son and I made this for my husband last year.  We had so much fun making it and my husband thought it was great.  So if you are looking for something easy to surprise dad with give this a try.

What you'll need:

• Wood plaque

• Rocks, one for each family member

• Wiggle eyes, 2 for each rock

•  Black Chalk Board Paint

• Paintbrush
• Super Glue
• Chalk


How to make it:
1. Paint the wood plaque with a coat of black paint and let dry.
2. Wash the rocks and let them dry.
3. Paint a second coat of black paint on the plaque and let dry.
4. Position rocks on the plaque.
5. Glue wiggle eyes on to the rocks and draw smiles with fine tip permanent marker.
6. Position rocks on the plaque, then put super glue the bottom of each rock and gently press on to the plaque. Let dry completely.
7. Have your child write the family names under each rock with chalk.
